Cieste is still out of condition and unable to feed Poppet.  I have been bottle feeding her in the barn where she and mother have been penned but now (on Farmer Rob’s advice) I have taken her away from mother and put her with her sister, Sweetie Pie.  They are in a pen outside the back door with a large poultry house for night time housing.  I can bottle feed them there and also give them a bucket and teach them how to suck from the rubber teats.  They are company for each other – but mother is grieving and I can hear her calling to Poppet from across the paddock.  It is heartbreaking but necessary.
