As I waited for Jeremy in St Johns Wood this afternoon I watched some of the performers of “Big Top Mania” limbering up for their performance at a Purim party for children and adults.  A beautiful and graceful movement on the Cyr Wheel had me entranced and when the acrobat had finished his practice I asked him about the wheel.  He told me that  Daniel Cyr of Canada had invented this apparatus in the 1990’s and it is now used by many circus artistes worldwide.  I wish I was twenty years younger and could learn to dance on the Cyr Wheel.
