Bedfordshire is a windy county and although it has been a mild morning the whipped up wind lifted the cover of the polytunnel.  Most of the chicks seemed bemused but the Bantams were slightly alarmed and huddled together in the hen house.  I managed to pull the plastic tarp over the frame but its only held on with a wing and a prayer and one Silkie refuses to go inside!
