A bright, warm morning for a walk

The U3A walking group are meeting at Buckden village church this morning and then we will be led on a 5 mile walk with a half time break for coffee at the Buckden Marina.  Jeremy and I took grandson to Buckden last year to visit Buckden Palace where Henry VIII’s first wife, Katherine of Aragon, was imprisoned whilst the King tried to find a way to “get rid of her”.  She lived in the tower and had her own locked garden which, these days, one can visit with a small donation for its upkeep.  A hidden treasure and well worth a trip. The Palace and garden are not on the agenda this morning.
