Jeremy set up a duck house and enclosed run (I am sorry to say that DEFRA has not yet lifted the bird restrictions and even now, in the UK,  outbreaks of Avian flu are being reported). The new  house is opposite the barn where the other ducks are living during the outdoor ban.  Baby Duck has washed off the blood and we have put one of the drakes into the run to keep it company.  I have a confession to make.  I always refer to Baby Duck as a boy but in fact she is a girl.  So if duck and drake become companions they might even produce ducklings…..but I am getting ahead of myself again!

The geese and the cows are very interested in the new setup.  BTW geese are allowed out but their food must be inside.  We lock them in their house at night but allow them to graze during the day.
