The fridges and freezers in the barn kitchen decided to fail this week and the repair man arrived this morning – a knight in shining armour, or in a bright yellow van.  Luckily we have back up freezer and fridge space in the garage so disaster was averted.  It seems that the barn kitchen gets too cold for the fridge/freezer during the winter as it needs a certain temperature range in which to operate.  Outside the air is bitingly cold today and Chris is out in the field raking up the hay that the sheep pull out of the feeders and leave (silly things) on the ground.  Its all hands on deck to cook and tidy and prepare for tomorrow and I have my fingers crossed that we avoid any further crises.
