A date in London with mum and the Occupational Therapist

Miriam, an OT recommended to us for her sensible advice to the elderly, came to see mum at home today.  She was impressed with the way mum deals with the day to day admin of living and the fact that she is out and about and busy at the age of 89. So are we.  She showed mum how to use her walking stick to greater effect and ordered mum a new trolley for using to bring food from the kitchen to the dining table.  The biggest piece of advice was that mum should “slow down a bit” and mum said she would try.  As always mum had a smile on her face, a laugh and a joke with Miriam and me and not a word of complaint.  What a great example for my brother and for me.
