Lucy and Beattie stood guard over Lexy as we approached to take them all into the barn so that Rob could ear tag and dehorn Lexy.   Once in the barn we tempted Lucy and Beattie outside with a bowl of food and then Rob got to work with Lexy.  He gently held her and applied a local anaesthetic injection.  Soon he had her tagged and then dehorned whilst Lucy stood outside the barn mooing and agitated, waiting for her baby to be returned.  Soon enough Lexy was back with her mother and her aunty and looking none the worse for wear.
