By our calculations Lucy and Beattie are “due” in the next few weeks.  The bull, Adnams, came to stay at the Gables at the end of February and nine months on from his arrival (a cow, like humans, is pregnant for 9 months before giving birth) takes us to the end of November.  He was here for over two months so even if the girls and he danced around each other for a few weeks we would still hope to see some calves by the end of December.  Put your feet up ladies and enjoy the wait.
