Jeremy has spent the afternoon tilling the earth, marking out straight lines and planting field beans, broad beans and onion sets.

In one of the raised beds he has planted garlic.

Indoors I used some of the beans that mum and I podded on Sunday to make a hearty stew

and outside I am keeping an eye on the leeks, turnips and celeriac. These form part of the Winter Veg Garden along with the carrots and parsnips, tatsoi and beetroot which we will leave in the ground, digging up what we want to cook as and when we need them.
