We came upon a small herd of red Dexter cows as we went on our Wednesday walk.  Their coats looked velvety and they had quite impressive horns (Lucy and Beattie were dehorned before we bought them).  Beautiful weather, a brisk breeze and lots of talk about places and politics near and far.  Delightful.
