Jeremy is an adventurous cook and he has picked a selection of vegetables, including herbs and rainbow coloured chard, and is baking them in the oven. Should be a tasty supper.

The field beans have been drying in the airing cupboard and this morning I sifted them and removed any stalks, stems and skins. They now sit in jars on the kitchen shelf next to an Alessi citrus squeezer which was bought as a present some years ago. I admire its design but rarely use it. If I want fresh lemon juice I cut the fruit in half and then use my hands to squeeze. Works perfectly well!
