As I was cooking and preparing vegetables for supper I had a welcome coffee break with friend Kate who came over to say hello.  As we were catching up on the week Heather and her granddaughter Emily arrived with a lovely “thank you” card in which Emily had drawn a picture of Wiggle (who she met on Wednesday).

Under increasingly wet skies we went out to feed Wiggle and the rest of the flock and also to see the Bantam chick, which is Emily’s favourite bird at The Gables.

Emily will have to come back and visit the lamb and chick next holiday when she can see how much they have grown (and whether the chick is a hen or a cockerel).
