Perhaps you have heard of them and perhaps not. They are a second early cropping or main cropping potato and a heritage variety. That means they are potatoes that were being grown pre 1950 and have a different texture and taste to some of the more modern tubers. We grew them last year, liked the yield and taste and the size (bigger means less peeling for me!) and they haven’t disappointed this year. We will store them in paper sacks in a metal feed bin and hope that they will keep us going for a while.
