The footpaths are a pleasure to traverse now that the harvesting has begun in earnest.  Earlier in the summer we were wading through waist high grass and crops but now we can walk with ease.

As we made our way alongside a plot of field beans I spotted a beautiful butterfly which, with the help of a computer and a butterfly identification site, turns out to be a Comma butterfly of the Nymphalidae family.  Pretty.
