A chip off the old block

We sold four shearling ewes ( one year old sheep who have been shorn once)  to Hannah last month and she took them to her farm in Limcolnshire.  We thought that one or two just might be pregnant even though they were so young. Last week the sheep that they now call Alison produced a bonnie, big ewe lamb with almost identical markings to her mother.  Poor Alison was caught in a tremendous hail storm and thunder and lightning on Saturday night.  She was unable to walk for several hours but the lamb was still able to suckle as the mother lay on the ground.  I am delighted to report that mother and baby are both fine and mother is running around once more.
