Jeremy noticed that one of Pinky’s lambs was rubbing her backside and scouring. He kept his eye on her and today realized that she was sitting down in the field and not running with the other sheep. He came back when she was near the field shelter and took her inside and closed the gate. She didn’t fight him. Then I held her while he cut the wool and dried muck away from the wound and all around the area and then I washed it with diluted disinfectant and he dabbed it with iodine. We have sent her back outside where she immediately went to her mother and suckled and we have ordered some fly spray in case the dreaded pest decides to settle on the wound.
In the paddock Wiggle was in a contemplative mood this morning. Nothing wrong with him…..for the moment.
