An appointment with my lovely and trusted hairdresser allowed me to visit mum again.  This time I brought pounds and pounds of freshly pulled rhubarb for her afternoon guests. I also delivered five artichokes to a shop assistant in Golders Green who is a friend to many of us who shop in her emporium.  Her morrocan mother taught her exotic recipes using  artichokes.
