When we booked the sheep shearing we were worried that the sheep would be cold at night as it wasn’t many days ago that the night temperature fell to nearly freezing.  We were lucky this weekend that the sun had dried the fleeces and the sheep are pleased to be shorn of their heavy woollen coats.

After the work was done and Carmen, Lucia and I had rolled and tied the fleeces we all sat down to have a well earned cuppa, a dish of plum crumble and stewed rhubarb with whipped cream.  A good job done and, as I suspected, one of the shearlings is definitely pregnant and one of her sisters might be preggers too.  A bonus.
