One of the young Silkies has been off her feet for the past three days.  We thought she looked so ill that we would find her spark out in the nest when we opened up the hens in the morning but……..she is still with us, her eyes are bright and she is trying to move.  So, this afternoon, we treated her as though she was eggbound and wrapped her in a towel over a bowl of steaming water.  Jeremy held her beak open and I spooned in tiny drops of olive oil and then he massaged her abdomen.  She is back in the nest box and we are hoping……
