Skeet shooting on our Wednesday walk

As we crossed the back of a farm owned by an international clay pigeon shot we heard the sound of gunfire.  Ken pointed to the two towers on the land to our right and explained that these were used for skeet shooting. Skeet is one of the three major disciplines of competitive clay pigeon shooting.  Clays are mechanically flung into the air from two fixed stations (towers) at a variety of angles  at high speed and the gunman has to fire at the clays and hit them.
