With Passover nearly here and lots of guests expected next weekend it has been all systems go in the kitchen this afternoon. So far there are two large containers of ratatouille and matzo balls.
There are two carrot and almond kugel sand four broccoli kugels.
Pepper, onion and mushroom quiches and a rich mixture of wine, dates, raisins and prunes simmered for over an hour to eat instead of the usual almond and apple charoset.
Plenty more more cooking ahead but at least it has begun. For those who are celebrating I wish you a chag kasher vesameach. For everyone else Google will help you understand the foods, the rituals and why this festival of Passover means that “spring cleaning” really does get done!
Happy holiday to you all. Enjoy.
