The sun is shining and the frost is sparkling and when I opened the goose house I discovered that one of the geese had been busy during the night building herself a nest of straw.  Lets see if the geese are more successful this year than last.  Last year two of them sat for over five weeks but none of the eggs hatched.  Is the gander fertile?  We shall wait and hope but without any great expectation of goslings.
