Wool makes soft nest lining material and the clever jackdaws are collecting the strands from the small paddock.  But wait a minute……they are actually pulling the wool from the back of Tufty’s fleece while he sits ruminating on the grass.  Wake up Tufty the wool is being pulled over your eyes you silly ram!
