A  day of gardening has left us tired and hungry and ready to eat the purple sprouting, spinach with eggs and roast beetroot with leeks and garlic and onion….all picked today and cooking slowly as I type.  An additional piece of news is that one of the geese has laid The first ginormous goose egg of the year in the hedge by the pond.  Lots of eggs everywhere but no one sitting yet in the duck run or anywhere else.
