On a wet March morning I looked out to find that the cows and bull, Adnam, had gotten into the paddock via the little gate that I forgot to close last night. Tufty and the ram lambs had escaped into the field and we had a fine old time enticing everyone into their correct positions again (using buckets of concentrates and plenty of hay).

The bantam hens had laid an egg in the run and NOT in their nest box (they seem to know that March 1st is spring and have decided to end their egg laying winter strike) and the naughty geese refused to get off the pond last night and seemed quite happy grazing on the bank this morning.
