Combining beekeeping classes with reading a mysterious and amazing novel called The Bees by Laline Paull helps me to understand why bee keepers are so smitten with their hives and with honey production.   Still don’t think it’s a hobby for me but at least I am learning about these creatures upon whom we rely to pollinate our crops and fruits. The volunteers who run the bee courses give hours of their time to help the novice bee keepers in Bedfordshire.  What a great bunch of people. Thank you.
