Sunday morning and it’s time to dag two growing ram lambs

After chasing sheep from the big field to the paddock,we managed to isolate Tufty and White ram lamb (although the other ram lamb escaped) and shut them in the calf barn.  Then we let Tufty out into the paddock and Jeremy flipped white ram onto his back whilst I cut away all the “nastiness” from around his tail and hind quarters to prevent fly strike.  We still have to catch the other ram lamb who is very “mucky”.  The experience has taught me that we must dock the tails of the new baby lambs.
