So BT sent a delightful surveyor with a crow bar and a roll bar to look at the telephone cabinet at the corner of Mill Road and Church Road. The tools were last century, the covers over the phone lines had GPO stamped on them and there will not be super fast broadband round these parts for many years to come. To top it all the line might have to be carried on wooden poles from one side of the property to the next. All very “Heath Robinson” and all at our expense. The three hundred year old barn might have to stay “unconnected”.
