Busy morning in the barn

Tai Chi recommenced at 9.30 and, as a treat, we ended the lesson with ten minutes of meditation (apparently our Tai chi teacher is also a trained hypnotherapist!).  Then along came Andrew the electrician to sort out the coloured beam lights.  All the available LED lights are “made in  China” but the new ones to be fitted will be less obtrusive.  Then in came Mike, Church Warden of St Mary’s Church, Bletsoe who has been part of a group in their village who have raised over £150000 towards the restoration and improvement of their medieval church.  They still need another £150000.  He is going to deliver a power point presentation in our barn, next week, to Colmworth residents to show us how to find funding for the 15th Century St Denys church.  No doubt, up and down the land, villagers and church wardens are faced with the same fund raising problems and bring and buy sales just won’t be enough these days.
