Geese are grazing animals and ours have done a great job of eating the wild and unruly grass around the pond.  Now that they are back in the orchard they are making good progress on taming the grass around the trees.  I have noticed that the gander has become a bit aggressive in the last couple of weeks.  He even gave our son a nasty nip at the weekend when he wasn’t paying attention to the proximity of Mr Goose.  We are waiting for a solicitor’s letter demanding compensation! My guess is that the geese are going to start laying soon due to the warm weather and the gander’s hormones are beginning to rise.
