Our friend, Brana, travelled with Joy from London to The Gables today.  Brana lives in our old hometown of Crediton in Devon and was spending the weekend in London and agreed to come and have lunch with us in Bedfordshire.  I collected mum from Hendon this morning and we all met up for homemade soup, fresh bagels and cheese by a roaring fire at The Gables.
