The adult ducks have “turned” on the white duckling and pecked around its eyes.  My friend, who was looking after them at the weekend, put the teenager into the Ark to isolate him from his tormentors and to allow the tiny cuts to heal.  Poor little white duck.  The other grown up ducks pecked it when we tried to put him in with them a couple of weeks ago and now he has no peer group.  Maybe he will ( like the ugly duckling) turn into a swan!
