The rain fell, gently at first and then more persistently, as I joined the Rothsay Ramblers for a four mile walk that began and ended at The Crown in Little Staughton.  We stopped at the church – part 12th Century, part 15th Century with a new spire that replaced the original after it was hit by lightning in the 1950’s.

On the route home we met 16 year old miniature Shetland Pony, Del Boy, out for his daily constitutional with his owners. They had owned the pony since he was 13 weeks old and all their grandchildren had ridden him.
