Unseasonably heavy and cold rain has made the day feel like late autumn and not like high summer.  The ducks came out to play but went back to the safety of their run and the shelter of their house.  The cows and calves are sitting in the barn and bedraggled chickens are sheltering in the goose house.  The sheep and lambs must stay outside and hope that their wooly coats keep them warm.
