The roof of the barn has been renovated, plastered and painted between the three hundred year old beams. Soon the floor will be repaired and the lower level of the barn will be insulated plaster boarded and made good. It’s a magical space, repaired with 21st century materials to recreate the look of the original structure and preserving the timbers. And as we stood in the barn this morning the swallow flew in through the open window to feed her chicks who are still calling out from the nest.
