Inspired by my visit to The Gables, you would have been proud of me this afternoon – took my jam making equipment together with collection of new jam jars round to M-I-L’s to make red currant jelly from red currants she picked from the bushes in her back garden. Used the Lakeland Preserves book for quick and easy recipe and left Ma-in-Law with bubbling jelly and instructions – hopefully four jars will have been filled. Will report back on ‘production line’.
