My mothers cousin and her husband came to lunch at The Gables today. 66 years ago Sandra was one of my mothers’s bridesmaids and she still has a schoolgirl laugh, lovely face and huge sense of fun. We ate lunch outside under the shade of an umbrella enjoying freshly picked cucumbers, baby carrots, green salad and potato salad, pickled beetroot, tomato chutney and onion quiche. We followed this with a huge dish of tayberries, gooseberries, black currants and strawberries and rhubarb crumble and cream. Now I need to garden and use up some energy!

Gillian You are too much and I cannot follow ALL you are doing. Where to you seek all this energy – probably the fact that I am a bit “older” than you.
Always happy to see photos of you all – Sybil is great fantastic.
Lots of love to you all
