Wheeling Red Kites, wild purple geraniums and a pond full of lilies

We set out for our Wednesday walk in a warm breeze with the promise of sunshine. Dotted along the footpath were wild purple geraniums and later, floating on the ponds, were hundreds of lily pads with their pink flowers just waiting for the warmth of the sunshine to tempt them to open. But most wondrous by far were the trio of red kites wheeling above us and hovering over the newly harvested fields. Stunning!
