Our friend Daphna is a talented jeweller and ceramicist and she pursues her interests now that she is retired after a life spent working with children. She handed me a pair of earrings this evenings that she made and they are lovely. But more important than the gifts of whisky and jewellery and presents for our grandchildren is the gift of an enduring friendship.
