Yesterday afternoon, without any help, Beattie gave birth to a fine bull calf. Within minutes it was standing and feeding and Beattie spent the day licking off the glossy covering from her calf and taking care of her offspring. She is issuing bellowing noises that we have never heard before and the calf is already behaving badly by climbing through the electric fencing and driving Beattie mad!
Aunt Lucy is also taking great interest in her nephew and occasionally licks and nuzzles him. Your turn next Lucy?
