Jenny and I took the opportunity to have an extra “footpath walk” this morning dodging the expected rain storms and taking advantage of the early sunshine. The combination or rain and sun has produced fields of swaying corn and cereals and the footpaths are so overgrown that we were walking waist high through the grass and cowslips. We nearly lost our way as the footpath signs are almost obscured by the vegetation. Luckily for me Jenny has been walking around here for many years. Left to my own devices I would be wandering like a lost bullock until I happened (or not) upon my way home.
