Swineshead, Sandye Lane and carpets of flowers

Hidden away a few miles from Colmworth is the old village of Swineshead with its church part dating back to the 15th century and many half timbered houses from the 17th and 18th century. A jewel of a place. If you turn right up Sandye Lane you will come to a green lane leading to Swineshead Wood run by the Woodland Trust. A magical area which, at this time of year, is carpeted in both English and Spanish bluebells as well as delicate yellow primroses and flowering blackthorn and hawthorn, hazel trees and many other trees whose names I do not yet know. There is so much to learn and so many treasures in the English countryside. So,thank you Carmen, for taking us to see the spring bluebells.
