When Daniel laid our hedges last year he removed the dead wood and left it on the ground. We made a bonfire, a while ago, with all the brambles and twigs but we wanted to save the large wood for future use. This afternoon we built a wigwam and a woodpile and, as we worked, two buzzards circled high above us in the blue Befordshire sky.
And as I type this post a rainbow has appeared close to the wigwam…..maybe it has magical powers?
