The builders asked if some prospective clients could take a look at the ongoing barn conversion. We were happy to invite the couple to come and take a look and they arrived this morning en route to a business appointment. Although they live some miles away the husband grew up in a neighbouring village and his late father was a well known and well regarded local artist. On hearing his name I asked his son to come and see a painting in the house. He didn’t think that the watercolour was one of his father’s pictures but confirmed that a sketch of the local hostelry was certainly drawn by his dad. In fact these drawings, water colours and oils can be found in many homes in the county of Bedfordshire. How lovely that we met David Green’s son and daughter in law.
