Decorator Kim is preparing, priming and painting the telephone box that was left for us by our predecessor.  It should look a glossy red when he has finished next week.  Meanwhile the tilers are pleased with the roof even though pantiles can be awkward to fit to the batons.  They are not looking forward to scaling the heights of the barn next week and I just hope that blustery Bedfordshire winds will not hamper their work.  In the duck “nursery” the three youngsters are practicing swimming under mum’s watchful eye.  We will put mum and offspring back with the drake and his new partner after the weekend.  Then all the ducks can swim in the sunken bath and it will be sink or swim time!
