Lunch in London and Tea in Colmworth

I was on the road to London at 5 am and picked up my granddaughter at 8 am to look after her for a few precious hours.  We enjoyed the chilly early sunshine which quickly became very warm as we played in the park.  On the way home To Colmworth I received a message from a friend who asked if she could bring her four lovely daughters and one delightful au pair to visit The Gables at tea time.  We had a lovely afternoon which culminated in a visit to see K….’s four beautiful Dexter calves.  The big girls wanted to take a calf home with them until it was pointed out that their suburban back garden would not provide enough grass for the growing appetite of a growing calf.  Maybe they can look in again next time they visit to see how much the calves have grown.
