Ducks, geese, rooftops and rhubarb

The Apricot Call Ducklings might turn out to be white! Their new, adult feathers are replacing the downy, yellow covering and one of them seems destined to be pure white. The sitting goose hissed at me as Jeremy guarded the poultry run to stop the gander from attacking me.  Only three weeks to go, unless she gets bored and decides to leave the nest and graze in the orchard all day.  Who could blame her?  The builders are working on the gable ends of the roof and have finished insulating between the rafters. Thousands of clay tiles were delivered yesterday and will be fixed to the roof beginning on Monday.  And, finally, Jeremy brought in the first cutting of rhubarb yesterday which I will stew with sugar and have for dessert tonight.  Time for some cooking and housework and possibly a cup of coffee in the fabulous sunshine.
