This morning one of the geese was sitting apart from her sister and the gander, making a round nest into which ( we hope) she is laying another egg.  The other two geese wandered around the orchard grazing the grass and calling to her.  She called back to them but stayed sitting.  Geese can lay up to 15 eggs in a clutch so it may be some time before, and if, she decides to go broody and sit on her eggs. Meanwhile the ducklings are growing and the sheep are getting fat.  Plenty happening at The Gables.
