Sand and Silk

We mixed coarse orange sand with delicate carrot seeds and sowed them under glass frames made from reclaimed wood and windows.  Maybe the glass will protect them from the hungry young bunnies that will start to appear as spring gets into her stride.  Meanwhile the silkies cuddle up together enjoying their new home and laying tiny white silken eggs.  Although the silkie cockerel is a small fellow he rivals Joe cockerel with the power of his crowing.
